Even though I haven't played CS 1.5 for quite some time now it will be greatly missed. For those of you that don't know check out the following copied from the SteamPowered website:

WON Shutdown Timing
Starting July 26th the shutdown of the WON authentication servers will begin. This process will be completed on July 31st. This means players will no longer be able to access Internet features of Valve games, such as Counter-Strike 1.5, using the WON authentication servers. Users can continue using Valve games on the Steam service by downloading the Steam installer and setting up a Steam account. For more information visit www.steampowered.com. Counter-Strike 1.5 players will be upgraded to Counter-Strike 1.6 free of charge through Steam.

Thanks to a little work on the behalf of Remulak, |c$a| now has two custom skins for Steam. They are available for download in the new CS 1.6 downloads section of the homepage.

You can go with old and faithfull.

or you can go with, as Will Smith would say, "The new hotness"

Unathorized Recruiting

�

Attention: |c$a| has recently become the victim of a flamer. One very annoying youngster, to remain nameless here, sinned against the |c$a| community and poisoned the minds of some promising players in our server. This one young |c$a| "reject" (In more ways than one) falsely identified himself as 2 legitimate |c$a| members and proceeded to recruit random players from the server. If you have been recently recruited by |c$a|Soultaker or |c$a|BakedHampster please understand that you have been deceived and you are not a recruit. The recruitment process is clearly defined and you would have received an official letter from the recruiting staff a.k.a. |c$a|recruiting. The slippery little bastard that performed this injustice has been banned from the |c$a| community and will remain so. To all that were falsely recruited, please accept our apology for the misunderstanding and I hope you can look past this unfortunate incident and will continue to frequent our server.
